A shared fabrication workshop in Cornellà

TMDC is a coworking fabrication workshop, or makerspace, at Carrer del Cobalt 57 in Cornellà de Llobregat, Barcelona. Its 15,000-square-meter facility has professional industrial equipment for woodworking, metalworking, and plastics, and brings together more than 160 makers. Access is available through memberships. TMDC also offers private spaces starting at 65 square meters for people who need their own workshop without the cost of building one from scratch.

Public classes and training

TMDC offers classes for members and the public, from beginner instruction to training on industrial machinery. Courses listed include:

• Introduction to Woodworking: Semi-Stationary Tools and Joinery (8 hours, €251 plus VAT): A hands-on class for beginners in which participants build a box using solid and plywood, in groups of three or four. Taught by Juan Pablo, a carpenter with more than 20 years of experience.
• Introduction to Woodworking: Solid Wood and Joinery (10 hours, €281 plus VAT): A two-session class in which participants build a bench or table using solid wood and pine edge-glued panels. Groups are limited to four. Taught by Andrés Benítez, an architect and carpenter with 10 years of experience.
• Introduction to Woodworking II: Jigs and Industrial Machinery (8 hours, €251 plus VAT): For students with basic woodworking skills, covering jigs and industrial machinery such as a panel saw, industrial planer, thickness planer, band saw, and belt sander.

TMDC members receive €30 off the regular course price.
