About Corlago

Industrial manufacturing in Corella

Corlago is a Spanish family-owned company based in Corella, Navarre, that manufactures industrial counterweights and welded steel structures. Founded in 1978 by Fernando Lázaro, the company is part of Grupo Corlago, which includes SIC-LAZARO, WELLD (EMS), and BETON. With more than 40 years in operation, it has become a European leader in counterweights for elevators and heavy machinery.

Products and capabilities

The company manufactures elevator counterweights weighing up to 25 kg from dense concrete or steel, with a focus on sustainability through recycled aggregate from nonhazardous industrial waste. For heavy mobile equipment, such as port forklifts and container handlers, it makes counterweights weighing up to 25 tons, using a steel shell filled with dense materials. It also designs and manufactures counterweights for railway catenary systems, with an emphasis on safety and durability.

In mechanical welding, Corlago specializes in welded steel assemblies for mobile equipment, including port forklift chassis and work platforms. It works as a subcontractor using customer-supplied drawings and maintains precise tolerances for proper fit and operation.
