About Grupo EIRE

A network focused on fertility care

Grupo EIRE—the Spanish Group for Research in Reproduction—is a network of assisted-reproduction centers in Spain, founded in 2014 when fertility specialists brought their clinics together. Its work includes patient care, professional training, and research and public education on techniques such as artificial insemination.

The group presents itself as a source of information for individuals and couples exploring fertility treatment, including single women and female couples. Alongside the clinical work of its member centers, it publishes a question-and-answer book and maintains a blog with educational articles and case studies.

Scientific meetings and public education

Grupo EIRE organizes scientific update sessions for professionals. In November 2019, it held its 10th Scientific Update Conference, devoted to the endometrium. Topics covered on its blog include a fertility technique introduced in Cantabria, radiofrequency as an alternative to surgery for uterine fibroids, patient accounts of endometriosis, and studies concerning single women and female couples pursuing assisted reproduction.
