Aceitunas Miroliva S.L. is a family business founded in the 1960s that produces and packs table olives and pickled vegetables. The company was incorporated in 1972 and says its annual production has grown to 25 million kilograms of olives and pickles.
Products
Its range includes several olive varieties and pickled vegetables:
- Olives: Kalamata, Cuquillo, Gallega, Cacereña, Hojiblanca, Manzanilla, and Gordal.
- Pickles: lupini beans, small onions, cauliflower, chili peppers, gherkins, mixed pickles, peppers, and carrots.
- Gourmet lines: specialty olives and specialty stuffed olives.
Facilities and capacity
Since November 2010, the company has operated from facilities at Calle Industria 14, Polígono Industrial Las Viñas, 37500 Ciudad Rodrigo, Salamanca. It says its association of more than a decade with the HOJIBLANCA group provides extensive production capacity. Miroliva describes itself as HOJIBLANCA's exclusive distributor in Portugal and part of Spain, and describes that group as the world's largest olive producer.
Origin and quality controls
According to the company, 90% of its production comes from Spain; a smaller share consists of imported varieties not grown there. Its quality system oversees production and tracks products for compliance with environmental and food-safety laws.
