Associació Salut Mental Ondara Sió (ASMOS)

Mental health support in La Segarra and Urgell

Associació Salut Mental Ondara Sió (ASMOS) is a nonprofit founded in Cervera in 2006 in response to the lack of mental health services in La Segarra and Urgell. It began to welcome and support family members of people with mental health conditions in towns across the two counties, while addressing the need for public awareness and advocacy around mental health.

Services and programs

The association provides support, information, and guidance to families, and works to raise public awareness and defend the rights of people with mental health conditions. Its services include:

• Peer support groups
• Family support services
• Training workshops
• Sports and recreational activities
• Administrative and paperwork guidance
• Llar amb suport (supported housing)
• Ongoing support
• Public education

Location

The association is based at Avinguda de la Segarra, 8, ground floor, 25200 Cervera. In March 2021, it signed the purchase of a new headquarters on the same avenue, with four separate spaces totaling 304 square meters for the association’s participants and families.

Activities and online

ASMOS organizes and takes part in awareness initiatives such as World Mental Health Day. In 2026, Cervera will host the Catalan event for the day. The association is on Instagram and Facebook.
