Autism support in Castelló de la Plana

TeaCast is a nonprofit association based in Castelló de la Plana that provides services and interventions for people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Its goal is to improve quality of life for autistic people and their families. The association is accredited by the Generalitat Valenciana, the regional government of Valencia.

Services and therapies

• Diagnosis and assessment: a comprehensive evaluation, report, and recommendations for a support plan.
• Information and guidance: intake and advice for families, with coordination across education, health care, and social services.
• Early intervention (CDIAT): multidisciplinary services for children from birth to age six, with family support, through both a contracted center and private services.
• Personal autonomy: programs covering daily living skills, functional communication, self-regulation, and social skills, using assistive technology and occupational therapy.
• Educational psychology: individual support, family guidance, and school coordination with personalized plans.
• PATI: therapeutic assistance for children under 18, with comprehensive support for autonomy and inclusion.
• Training: courses and workshops for schools, professionals, and families.
• Research: applied projects on ASD assessment and intervention with universities and other organizations.

Therapies include speech-language therapy, occupational therapy, therapeutic education, psychology, and physical therapy.

Activities and outreach

The association organizes talks, workshops, and events for families and professionals. Past topics have included learning through play, managing nasal secretions, and stress management. TeaCast also runs a free sensory-profile assessment campaign for children ages 3 to 15 in Castellón province.
