A.V. Segon Molí / A. Jubilats

What the association is

A.V. Segon Molí is a non-profit neighbourhood association in Castelló de la Plana's northern district. The organization says it began about 16 years ago when 15 families, after waiting seven years for their homes, moved into a new development then known as Lledó I, II and III and formed an association in response to gaps in local services. It also includes A. Jubilats i Gent Major, a retired and older people's group with its own board, rules and accounts.

Activities

The association offers activities and training open to people wishing to join. One campaign seeks to restore the Segon Molí site as an educational space explaining how a watermill works. The organization also publishes a magazine.

Representation and affiliations

It belongs to Castelló federation FED.AS.CI.CA. and the Valencian confederation CAVE-COVA and participates in public bodies to represent its members and other neighbourhood associations.

Transparency

The website publishes constitutions, financial results and the membership of the governing council and board for both the neighbourhood association and the older people's group. Downloadable membership forms are also available.
