About Fundació Jordi Comas Matamala

Tourism, research, and public discussion

Fundació Jordi Comas Matamala is a Catalan foundation focused on research, discussion, and ideas about tourism. Established in 2015, it aims to contribute to tourism's economic and social development, treating the industry as a cross-cutting part of the regional economy.

Events and publications

The foundation organizes activities and events, some of which require advance ticket reservations, and publishes its own editorial work. Its publications include La tribuna digital, a collection of analysis by different authors. It also produces a television discussion forum and a televised roundtable. The foundation publishes annual reports and maintains a media library and news section.

Training and local partnerships

The foundation supports training and talent development in tourism, as well as employment opportunities for young people, in collaboration with other foundations. It also promotes book presentations and cultural events in towns along the Costa Brava.
