About El Jardín de las Delizias
Glamping Among the Cherry Trees
El Jardín de las Delizias is a small glamping property in Extremadura's Jerte Valley, set on a 5,200-square-meter organic cherry farm. The owners, Leticia and José, describe it as the first accommodation in Extremadura to receive the region's “singular lodging” designation. The retreat is designed for adults and does not accept pets.
Mongolian Yurts and a Sky Dome
The property has two Mongolian yurts made and painted by artisans in Mongolia, each with a private garden, bathroom, climate control, coffee maker, and minibar. The yurts are themed around fire and sky. A separate Sky Dome offers a 360-degree view of the sky and a private hot tub.
Guests can also use a saltwater pool designed to resemble a beach, with a hot tub and waterfall. The official site lists the pool season as May 15 through November 1, except during maintenance, and says the property has an electric-vehicle charging station.
A Separate Stay for Families
For guests traveling with children or pets, the owners offer El Pajar de Tía María in Casas del Castañar, a separate mountain home with Wi-Fi, a kitchen, laundry, a terrace garden, and a barbecue. It is distinct from the adults-focused glamping property.
The retreat has received Extremadura's award for tourism innovation and sustainability. Its setting and small number of stays are geared toward travelers looking for quiet time among the valley's cherry orchards.
