Facilities and Capacity
The company has expanded production capacity by adding a surface-treatment line and enlarging its boiler-making and welding facilities. These projects, funded by the European Union’s NextGenerationEU program and other organizations, are intended to strengthen the business and open new markets.
Projects and Collaborations
Nortemecánica participates in research and development projects, including RECAP, which is developing hybrid additive-subtractive technologies and intelligent processes to repair critical components. The project is a consortium with iCube and RDT and involves the Idonial Technology Center and FEMETALiNDUSTRY Cluster. Nortemecánica has also worked on a new, highly stable girder system for the ALBA Synchrotron.
