Esplai Aliret

Youth recreation in Capellades

Esplai Aliret is a children's and youth recreation and education center based in Capellades, Barcelona province. It operates as an esplai, a community-based youth program offering weekly activities. Participants are divided by age into groups called Rialles, Xiscles, Esgarips, and Guirigalls.

Activities and groups

The group usually meets on Saturday afternoons, with schedules that vary by age group and activity. Along with regular sessions, it organizes excursions, weekend outings, and summer camps. In 2017, for example, it held a camp in Planoles from August 3 to 6 and an end-of-year outing around Capellades.

Activities have included scavenger hunts, flour games, picnics, and nature outings. Each group has its own name and age-appropriate program.

Family updates

The group uses its blog to share permission forms, schedules, and materials families need for each activity. It is also on Facebook and YouTube.
