COMES, S.A. manufactures screw conveyors, helical screws and flights, springs, and machinery for conveying, elevating, compacting, separating, and storing bulk materials. With 60 years of activity, the company describes itself as an integrated manufacturer: it produces nearly all equipment components in-house, including screws, spirals, troughs, laser-cut parts, machining, painting, and assembly. This vertical integration allows it to adapt equipment to materials and dimensions outside its standard catalog.

Facilities and capacity

COMES has 10,000 square meters of built space across eight industrial buildings on a 50,000-square-meter undeveloped property. Its facilities are equipped for machinery testing, allowing customers to see equipment in operation before placing an order.

History

The business began in the 1950s as a local workshop repairing and building agricultural machinery. In the 1970s, the company became a pioneer in manufacturing helical screws. In the 1980s, it established an R&D department and began manufacturing machinery. During the 1990s, it specialized in equipment for agricultural cooperatives, olive mills, composting plants, and water-treatment facilities. In 2005, it added a precision laser-cutting division for industrial subcontracting.

Quality and warranty

The company follows an ISO 9001:2015-based management system and offers a 30-month warranty on its equipment. Its machinery is designed to be fully disassembled, making it easier to replace components subject to normal wear and reducing maintenance needs.
