About Redes Salinas

Family-Owned Net Manufacturer

Redes Salinas, S.A. is a family-owned company founded in 1973 by the Salinas Navarro brothers, who remain its owners. Based in Callosa de Segura, Alicante, Spain, it makes nets and cordage for three markets: fishing, safety, and sports.

Products and Capabilities

  • Fishing nets: Made for vessel owners and fishing captains, with a focus on tuna nets since the early 1990s.
  • Safety nets: Safety solutions drawing on more than 30 years of experience with nets and ropes.
  • Sports nets: Products for sports and athletic use.

The company can produce 1,400 metric tons of nets, thread, and cordage per year. It was the first company in Spain to apply an autoclave process for stretching nets, helping maintain consistent elongation, shrinkage, and dimensional stability.

Markets and Distribution

In addition to serving Spain, Redes Salinas exports tuna nets to destinations such as Abidjan on the Atlantic and the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean, where it keeps netting and thread in stock in Zone 14. It has also entered tuna-fishing markets such as Panama and Ecuador. The company controls, tracks, and traces each batch of polyamide used as raw material.

Institutional Information

Redes Salinas, S.A. received a €124,565.15 grant (file No. INPYME/2024/213) for a project to improve the manufacturing process for textile products such as nets. The grant was part of the Valencian Community’s program supporting productive investments by industrial small and midsize businesses.
