About Agrupament Escolta Montnegre
Scouting in the Montnegre-Corredor area
Agrupament Escolta Montnegre is a nonprofit educational organization that has introduced children and young people to scouting and volunteer values since 1959. Its activities take place around Montnegre-Corredor Park in the Maresme region of Catalonia.
Activities and traditions
The group holds regular scouting meetings, or cau, and organizes camps, including Easter trips for its Castors and Llúdrigues sections. It also co-hosts community events such as Aplec de Sant Andreu and Marxa de Sant Andreu. In 2017, the walk held its sixth edition: a noncompetitive 15-kilometer route through Montnegre-Corredor, starting at Font de Sant Quirze on Riera Capaspre. The €8 registration included breakfast and a keepsake. The 2025 Aplec, its fifth edition, included a walk from Calella Church to Ermita de Sant Andreu, a Goigs hymn singing, sardana dancing, and a community botifarrada, a Catalan sausage meal, for €7.
Contact and social media
The organization is active on social media, especially Instagram (@aemontnegre), and receives support from Amics Escoltes del Montnegre. For detailed information about registration and activities, contact the group directly.
