Cap Rocat is a luxury hotel located in an former fortress built for the surveillance of the Bay of Palma, in Mallorca. It occupies a natural reserve of 30 hectares with 2 kilometers of protected coast and is presented as the most hidden and private hotel in the Mediterranean. The fortress is declared a Asset of Cultural Interest and listed as a National Monument, and is located within a Protected Natural Area.
The restoration of the enclosure meant transforming the military facilities into a hotel in compliance with the strict regulations applicable to a building with its protected status. The renovation project was carried out by Antonio Obrador with respect for the original architecture and the natural conditions of the surroundings, and received, among other awards, the Europa Nostra prize.

Wellness: Spa excavated in the rock
The Cap Rocat spa occupies the most secret and protected corner of the fortress, excavated in the rock and with natural lighting. The wellness proposal is articulated around the culture of water and body care, with hammam experience, massage and relaxation, and a program called The Journey of the Senses.
Mediterranean gastronomy
The gastronomy of the hotel is based on Mediterranean cuisine and fresh seasonal and market-fresh produce, with the application of new culinary techniques. It has two spaces: the restaurant La Fortaleza, which works with these techniques, and the Sea Club, where the dishes are cooked in a traditional Mallorcan wood-burning oven.
Environment, heritage and experiences
Cap Rocat is presented as an architectural and environmental conservation project. The hotel houses the museum where the Vignetti-Obrador photographic collection is preserved and can be visited, linked to a legacy of travelers. The fortress is located about a 25-minute drive from Palma, its shops and art galleries, and monuments such as the Palace of the Almudaina and the Cathedral.
