Six areas of work

Sorigué is a business group active in six areas: Water, City, Industry, Infrastructure and Materials, Building, and Energy. The company says its technical capabilities span projects from water engineering to residential construction and renewable power generation.

Water, cities, and industry

• Water: More than 70 years of experience across the water cycle, including projects and maintenance, underwater work, hydraulic equipment, and water engineering. The company says it has manufactured water equipment for 40 years and completed projects in more than 30 countries.
• City: Urban-space management, green infrastructure, facilities, and technology. Services include turnkey projects, maintenance of parks and gardens, new construction, and comprehensive renovations of public facilities.
• Industry: Projects and maintenance for industrial clients, particularly in power generation and the installation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems in petrochemical, chemical, and nuclear industries.

Infrastructure, construction, and energy

• Infrastructure and materials: Infrastructure projects, maintenance and road repair, asphalt, aggregates, precast products, concrete, ballast, distribution, and transportation. Sorigué says it has marketed asphalt mixes for 70 years and operates its own plants and quarries.
• Building: Large-scale projects and technical construction, with a focus on residential buildings and experience in distinctive healthcare, industrial, educational, and sports facilities, hotels, and parking garages. The area also includes real estate.
• Energy: Renewable electricity generation and energy-efficiency improvements in buildings and industrial facilities, including solar farms, self-consumption and distributed generation, energy efficiency, and energy services.

Locations and selected projects

The group operates in several parts of Spain. Projects cited by the company include replacing gates in Lleida, rehabilitating a dam in Barcelona, maintaining gardens at Plaza de España in Madrid, maintaining a hospital in Tarragona, CaixaForum Valencia, and a residential development in Seville. Sorigué also cites infrastructure maintenance, construction, and wastewater-treatment plant management in Aragón.

Innovation and cultural work

Sorigué takes part in innovation initiatives, including the European Solucir project with technology center Eurecat to improve water treatment and reuse. It has also presented PolyAI, a project using recycled polyethylene from beverage cartons in asphalt mixes, at the Princess of Girona Foundation's Young Talent Forum. The group includes Fundació Sorigué and the Planta Arte y Empresa project.
