ESM Institute for Research in Safety and Human Factors is an international company dedicated to studying and applying human factors to risk management in transportation and industry. Its work focuses on reducing human error, which it attributes to 80% of accidents, through training, audits, and R&D projects.

Research and development

The company develops R&D projects in road, maritime, and rail transportation; industry; health care; and information society technologies. These projects include fieldwork, studies, and programs to improve human reliability, as well as the design of assessment methods, analysis and validation of user interfaces, and learning tools based on information technology.

Team

Its multidisciplinary group is made up primarily of psychologists, engineers, ergonomists, educators, and IT specialists with expertise in human factors.
