Grupo La Plana manufactures cardboard packaging and point-of-sale display solutions. It designs and produces custom packaging for agriculture, food, beverages, consumer goods, ceramics, and e-commerce. Its range extends from produce trays and regular slotted cartons to folding cartons, protective inserts, pallet boxes, Packmasters, shelf-ready packaging, e-commerce packaging, and takeaway packaging.

Production and operations

Grupo La Plana operates six production plants with automated technology. Its integrated manufacturing process includes printing, die-cutting, and gluing. The company uses its own and contracted fleets for domestic and international distribution. Printing technologies include offset, flexographic, digital, and hybrid systems, including the Kento Hybrid®, which combines high-quality flexography with single-pass digital inkjet on one line. The group also has a Madrid site dedicated to designing and producing point-of-sale advertising formats and marketing materials.

Sustainability and certifications

Grupo La Plana has published an annual ESG report since 2022 and joined the UN Global Compact Spain. It holds EcoVadis certification and has been recognized for sustainable packaging. The company has also signed an agreement with Fundació Novessendes to support an agricultural test-space project.
