Capabilities and reported figures

The company says it provides and manages the technology behind 53% of urban traffic in Spain. It reports that Etra technology is used by 90% of the country's metro and light-rail systems. The group manages more than 450,000 lighting points in cities, on roads, in ports, and in tunnels, reporting energy savings of 30%. It also manages more than 30,000 parking spaces and provides communications service to 6 million households. The company says its solutions give more than 120,000 people access to drinking water.

Projects and presence

Grupo Etra was awarded all three lots in the framework agreement to maintain the Air and Space Force's Parachute Simulation Center (CESIPAL), which is part of Spain's Ministry of Defense. Its subsidiary ETRAIR, based in Boadilla del Monte, was visited by the president of the Community of Madrid in February 2026 during the presentation of a drone-promotion strategy. The company also takes part in energy-sector events such as the Smart Energy Congress.
