GeoSolar homes by Grupo INDEX

Casa GeoSolar is Grupo INDEX's line of carbon-positive homes. These customizable single-family homes use the company's GeoSolar system, which combines geothermal energy and photovoltaic panels. Grupo INDEX says the system heats and cools the home year-round through radiant floors and uses rooftop solar panels to generate more clean energy than the home consumes.

Developments in the Madrid region

The company's listed developments are concentrated in municipalities northwest and southwest of Madrid:

• Villaviciosa de Odón: Luces de Poniente, 19 homes with more than 370 square meters of built area on lots ranging from 305 to 488 square meters.
• Colmenar Viejo: Cerro de San Pedro, 29 homes across two developments, each with more than 347 square meters of built area and lots from 212 to 459 square meters.
• Boadilla del Monte: several developments, including Prado Chico (31 homes over 357 square meters), Finisterre (6 homes over 388 square meters), El Mirador de las Lomas (8 homes over 374 square meters), Trafalgar (12 homes over 348 square meters), Mar de Plata (11 homes over 349 square meters), and Hernán Cortés (paired homes on lots larger than 250 square meters).
• Las Rozas: El Montecillo, 10 homes across two developments, with built areas ranging from 395 to more than 521 square meters.
• Arroyomolinos: La Marbellí (29 homes, including detached homes over 551 square meters), Las Castañeras (21 homes over 339 square meters), and Calpe, a planned development of paired homes on lots larger than 285 square meters.

Energy savings and financing

Grupo INDEX estimates that its homes can save up to €164 per month on electricity, heating, and hot water, and more than €69,000 over 30 years. It also says each home can avoid 173,000 kilograms of carbon dioxide emissions. For buyers, the company offers what it describes as an exclusive green mortgage created by Banco Santander and Bankinter. It says the project receives funding from the European Union's Next Generation EU program.

Home customization

Buyers can customize interior features such as the number of bedrooms, kitchen location, basement use, flooring, doors, tile, paint, bathroom fixtures, and faucets. The company says its technical team works with buyers on the design during construction.
