CIE Automotive is a Spanish industrial group specializing in high-value processes for the automotive sector. With more than 30 years of experience, it describes itself as a global, multi-technology supplier with operations on four continents and eight manufacturing technologies. Its international model is based on local operations, decentralized management, and teams in each market.

History and growth

The project began in 1996 with the creation of INSSEC and its investment in Corporación Industrial Egaña. CIE Automotive as a group was formed in 2002 through the merger of Grupo Egaña and Grupo Aforasa. Since then, the company has grown through integrations and established an industrial network in Europe, North America, South America, Africa, and Asia.

Recent performance

In the first half of 2026, CIE Automotive reported earnings of nearly €200 million and, for the first time, more than €400 million in half-year EBITDA. In the first quarter of 2026, it surpassed €200 million in quarterly EBITDA for the first time, with sales above €1 billion and net income close to €100 million. The company also renewed the “t de transparente” seal with three stars from Fundación Haz, its highest distinction for tax transparency.
