Industrias Bitex is a Spanish textile company that manufactures and distributes fabrics for home decoration and contract projects, including commercial and institutional installations. Its history dates to 1958, when founding partner Miguel Molina Camarasa started the business. Industrias Bitex was formally incorporated in Biar, Alicante, in 1986. The company is now run by the second generation of the Molina family.

Products and Capabilities

The company makes curtain, sheer, upholstery, outdoor, and decorative fabrics, with technical properties such as antibacterial, flame-retardant, water-repellent, and stain-resistant finishes. Its Timanfaya collection focuses on high-performance flame-retardant technical fabrics for outdoor use. It also offers recycled fabrics.

Industrias Bitex controls the production process from design and warping through weaving, printing, calendering, finishing, storage, and logistics. Its facilities cover more than 12,000 square meters and house modern looms and equipment. Digital printing was introduced in 2013, and the company has since added its own finishing center.

Key Milestones

• 1986: Industrias Bitex was incorporated, continuing the business started in 1958.
• 1994: relocated and reorganized its industrial site, adding looms and quality-control equipment.
• 2008: specialized in technical fabrics—including antibacterial, flame-retardant, water-repellent, and stain-resistant materials—and created an R&D department.
• 2013: introduced digital printing.

Markets and Presence

The company serves domestic and international markets and participates in industry trade shows. At Textilhogar 2025, it took part in the “Pinknic” installation.
