Centros Multidisciplinares de Úlceras Crónicas (CMUC) is a network of clinics founded in 2001 to provide comprehensive care for skin breakdown, ulcers, wounds, and diabetic foot conditions. Its team includes licensed health professionals from several specialties who coordinate care across disciplines.

Services and specialties

• Angiology and vascular surgery: diagnosis and treatment of disorders affecting the vascular system, veins, and lymphatic vessels.
• Dermatology: diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory, autoimmune, and infectious conditions affecting the skin, hair, and nails.
• General medicine: primary medical care and an initial point of contact for health concerns.
• Diabetic foot care: treatment for a common complication of diabetes.
• In-home wound care: nursing care provided at a patient’s home.
• Negative-pressure wound therapy: a noninvasive wound-healing system for acute and chronic wounds.
• Ozone therapy: a treatment based on ozone’s antimicrobial and oxygenating effects.
• Doppler testing: a noninvasive examination used to assess ischemia in the lower limbs.

The clinic’s website says it is opening additional locations in Spain. It also publishes its own magazine and offers phone scheduling without a waitlist.

Health care registrations and funding

CMUC PIADELA is registered under number C-15-001397, and CMUC Málaga under number 48506. The project has received funding from the European Union’s NextGenerationEU program.
