Occupational health and safety in Bellaterra

Presal, S.L. is an accredited external occupational risk prevention provider (SPA), authorized by the Government of Catalonia’s Department of Labor under number SP-033-B. Founded on January 9, 1995, before Spain’s Occupational Risk Prevention Act took effect, the company has adapted its work to changing workplace health and safety regulations ever since.

Presal serves businesses that outsource occupational risk prevention. The company says more than 500 businesses rely on its services.

Services

• Workplace safety: Risk assessments, accident investigations, emergency plans and drills, safety plans, personal protective equipment (PPE) advice, and designated prevention resources.
• Industrial hygiene: Environmental contaminant monitoring and exposure assessments for physical agents such as noise, vibration, lighting, radiation, temperature, and humidity; chemical agents such as dust, gases, and vapors; and biological agents such as bacteria and viruses.
• Ergonomics and psychosocial risk prevention: Ergonomic assessments, including OCRA and RULA methods, psychosocial risk assessments, and implementation of workplace harassment protocols.
• Employee health monitoring: Planning and management, development of health protocols, basic and job-specific medical exams, epidemiological studies, and medical advice on fitness for work and job accommodations.
• Other services: Business activity coordination (CAE), outsourcing, occupational risk prevention consulting, and workplace equipment compliance under Royal Decree 1215/97.

Training

Presal offers in-person training at client sites, online courses, and virtual classrooms. Programs include the training required under Article 19 and courses in working at heights, work equipment, first aid, emergency response, and training aligned with collective agreements in construction, metalworking, wood and furniture, and glass. Customized training is also available.
