About Fundació Privada Col·legi Bosch
A school foundation rooted in Begues
Fundació Privada Col·legi Bosch is a nonprofit based in Begues, in Baix Llobregat. Its purpose is to provide private education at the grade levels its board of trustees considers appropriate for the town's needs.
Origins and history
The foundation grew out of the legacy of Teodoro Bosch i Estanca, who died in 1887. He established a trust directing the net income from inherited properties toward religious education for the children of Begues. Born in Barcelona in 1824, Teodoro Bosch had family ties to Begues: his father, Josep Bosch i Oller, was buried in the town, and his paternal grandmother, Francesca Ollé, was born there in 1805.
Activities
The foundation carries out activities in several areas, either on its own or in collaboration with other organizations. Its documented activities include a sculpture by Netsai Mukomberanwa, a master sculptor from Zimbabwe.
