Research and Projects

Insertec participates in business research-and-development support programs such as HAZITEK, funded by the Basque Government and the European Regional Development Fund for 2021–2027. It has also received funding for projects such as NEXTSTEEL (CPP2021-008415, Spanish State Research Agency and NextGenerationEU/Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan). Its projects include GEST-IN, an integrated management system for aluminum-recovery plants (IDI-20230721, April 2023–December 2024; investment of €606,567, including €515,582 in EU funding), and REPLICAL, virtual equipment control for monitoring and operating a real aluminum-recovery plant (IDI-20230722, April 2023–December 2024; investment of €308,024, including €261,820 in EU funding). Other projects include H-ACERO, MASHIC, RepHIC, and ECO. The company has also received funding from the Provincial Council of Bizkaia for internationalization programs in Turkey and Saudi Arabia.
