Hortec is an organic farming cooperative founded in Barcelona in 1991. It produces and distributes locally sourced organic goods, with a catalog of more than 600 items, primarily for small retailers, restaurants, and businesses.

Products and services

The cooperative offers a wide range of organic products, including:

Products are certified organic and come from local, seasonal, non-intensive farming. The cooperative makes deliveries several days a week in Catalonia and elsewhere in Spain. Orders can be placed by phone, email, or WhatsApp, and Hortec says it aims to resolve issues the same day.

Members and team

Hortec includes 30 member farmers and their families, 31 employees, more than 90 partner growers, and 30 people in logistics and administration. The cooperative works to maintain fairness across the supply chain and encourage respectful relationships among growers, retailers, and consumers.
