About Germans Barri
Three Generations in Barcelona’s Produce Trade
Germans Barri is a Barcelona family business that buys, packs, and distributes fresh produce. The company describes itself as a three-generation operation: its grandparents began by growing produce in Argentona and selling at Barcelona’s Born Vell market in the 1950s. In 1967, its parents and uncles moved from Born to Mercabarna, the new central wholesale market.
Today, the founder’s children run the business, with a stated goal of providing products and service to customers and suppliers. Its management team includes founder Lluís Barri, administration manager Marta Barri, production manager Lluís M. Barri, and sales director Ramon Barri.
