Sports and Physical Activity in Barcelona

ASME manages sports centers and develops physical activity programs in Barcelona. Its work combines the operation of municipal facilities with training, health, and community services for different groups.

Services and Activities

The centers offer group activities such as yoga, meditation, Pilates, Zumba, BodyPump, HIIT, water aerobics, running, swimming, and functional training. They also have specialized studios named Cool Pulse, The Box, Cadenza, and Cyclo.

ASME offers additional services under the EspaiViu, PadelViu, and OutViu brands. Available at CEM Vintró and CEM La Verneda, EspaiViu provides personal training, physical therapy, nutrition, and group activities, supported by an interdisciplinary team of trainers, physical therapists, osteopaths, and nutritionists.

Sports Promotion Programs

The organization runs social and educational programs, some in partnership with the Barcelona City Council:

Escoles, infants i gent gran (Schools, Children, and Older Adults): Sports programs in schools, school activity days, a floorball program, and activities for older adults and people with disabilities.
Joves (Youth): The JO+VE program, Francesca Abad public sports courts, and youth initiatives.
Esport Inclou (Inclusive Sports): Olympic-themed camps, sports day camps, and support for people who are unemployed.

Sports practiced at ASME facilities include basketball, handball, field hockey, rhythmic gymnastics, taekwondo, and trampoline.
