About Taquerías Tamarindo

Tacos with ingredients from both sides of the Atlantic

Taquerías Tamarindo brings a street-food sensibility to Barcelona’s Eixample, close to Passeig de Gràcia. The kitchen pairs locally sourced ingredients with chiles and spices brought from Mexico, and makes its own totopos. That balance of Barcelona produce and Mexican pantry gives the menu a point of view beyond a generic taco list.

Tacos al pastor are one of the house’s signposts, but the current menu also runs through fillings such as barbacoa, cochinita, tinga, mole, and trompo. A weekday lunch menu offers a way to sample several parts of the kitchen, while the mezcal and cocktail selection keeps the experience firmly in taqueria territory. It suits a casual shared meal, whether the plan is a quick taco stop or a longer dinner with drinks.
