Catalonia’s research center network
Institució CERCA is a foundation that coordinates the 42 research centers in the CERCA system across Catalonia. Its main goal is to support the development of Catalonia’s research center system and strengthen its corporate, institutional, and scientific profile.
Work and services
The institution organizes, monitors, and oversees the centers’ finances and supports legal matters, international presence, European policy initiatives, knowledge transfer, evaluation, equal opportunity and nondiscrimination, and research impact. It offers innovation initiatives to bring knowledge closer to the market, feminist mentoring programs (CERCAREMA) to prevent sexual harassment and harassment based on sex, and open access to publications through Transformative Agreements.
