Sanofi’s Spanish Subsidiary

Sanofi España is the Spanish subsidiary of biopharmaceutical company Sanofi, whose work focuses on human health. It combines science and technology to develop treatments, medicines, and vaccines, with particular attention to immunology. Spain is also a base for some of the company’s major international digital projects.

The company has about 1,500 employees, offices in Barcelona and Madrid, a global digital hub in Barcelona, and a manufacturing plant in Girona that has operated for more than 50 years. Its sales team works across Spain.

Areas of Focus

Sanofi works on treatments and vaccines, with a particular focus on type 2 inflammatory diseases, including atopic dermatitis, asthma, nasal polyposis, and eosinophilic esophagitis. These chronic conditions involve an overactive immune response to external triggers and can affect the skin, airways, or digestive tract.

People

Sanofi España’s workforce includes more than 45 nationalities. Women make up 54.1% of employees, and four generations are represented.
