Escoltes Catalans

Youth Education Through Scouting

Escoltes Catalans is a secular Catalan scouting association made up of young volunteers. It helps young people become active, engaged citizens through its own educational approach and local groups in different areas.

The association is part of the Catalan Federation of Scouting and Guiding and is linked to Fundació Escolta Josep Carol.

Educational Principles

• Catalan identity: building community from a shared identity and taking part in local life.
• Coeducation: welcoming diversity and supporting people’s freedom and safety from a feminist perspective.
• Secularism: making room for spiritual life while respecting different beliefs, ideas, and ways of thinking.

Organization and Transparency

The association publishes information about its governing bodies, staff, local groups, and transparency report. It also shares public statements and communications on social and environmental issues.
