About Xera - Associació Inclusiva Sants-Badal

Building community through inclusion

Xera is an inclusive association based in Barcelona's Sants-Badal neighborhood. It develops educational and social projects for three groups: people with disabilities and their families, children and teenagers facing vulnerability, and older adults. Its work combines recreation, support, and education to build a more inclusive community.

Programs and services

  • Disability support: Guidance and support for people with disabilities and their families.
  • Children and teenagers: Educational and recreational programs for young people facing vulnerability, including urban summer camps and other seasonal activities.
  • Older adults: Programs that address unwanted loneliness and promote active, healthy aging.

A participatory approach

Xera says it puts participants at the center of its work and invites them to help shape programs around their needs and interests. The association works with volunteers and interns and receives support from partner organizations and corporate volunteer programs.

Transparency and community support

The association publishes information about its finances, co-funding, and partnerships. It also accepts donations to support its projects.
