Taula Eix Pere IV

Community Work Along Pere IV

Taula Eix Pere IV is a community platform of residents, groups, and organizations in Barcelona's Poblenou neighborhoods. It works along Carrer de Pere IV and nearby streets to support civic, cultural, social, and economic activities and address the deterioration and neglect of the area's urban heritage.

Activities and Projects

The platform brings together community initiatives in the area. Its work includes:

• Training for organizations, social movements, and residents, with flexible enrollment by individual sessions or topic areas. Topics include global change, the climate crisis and conflict; internal controls and risk prevention for third-sector organizations; and participation in community action.
• Community projects such as Ca l'Isidret, with a community kitchen, recipe collection, and shared dining; Festival Rellisquín; Passatge Trullàs; the Aperitiu in the Can Ricart plaza; and the Can Ricart – Plaça Manel Andreu site.
• Bringing inactive spaces to life through community-run cultural programs. Ca l'Alier Rock concerts, featuring bands from the Sant Martí district, were preparing for their fifth edition in 2026.
• Working with the Barcelona Federation of Neighborhood Associations (FAVB) to prevent the closure of the historic Associació de Veïns i Veïnes Gran Via – Espronceda – Perú.
• Taking part in Comunitats de Sembra d'Aigua (Water-Sowing Communities), a project from BIT Habitat and Barcelona City Council's 2024 La Ciutat Proactiva call, focused on recovering graywater and rainwater.
• Creating the Poblenou and Sant Martí Social Map.

Participation

The platform has member organizations and offers membership. It also publishes a newsletter and is active on social media.
