Representing Catalonia’s social sector

La Confederació is the trade association for Catalonia’s social sector. Since 1997, it has represented nonprofit organizations—including associations, social-purpose cooperatives, and foundations—that provide social services and care in the region. It brings together 22 member organizations, which collectively represent about 2,000 organizations and 120,000 workers.

Publications and institutional work

The organization publishes the Anuari del Tercer Sector Social de Catalunya; its latest edition is number 11, alongside its own publications and other resources. It presents the annual Premis La Confederació, which received 78 finalist submissions in 2026, 30% more than the previous year. It also organizes the “Apunts654C” series of meetings and engages with the Generalitat and Barcelona City Council on social policy.
