About Panorama180

Film, experimentation, and free culture

Panorama180 is a nonprofit association founded in Barcelona in March 2010. Its work centers on film and audiovisual experimentation, as well as education, outreach, and the development of new approaches to copyright suited to the digital environment. Its scope includes free culture, freedom of expression, and inclusion, with attention to equality, gender, and cultural diversity.

Background and current work

From 2010 to 2019, its main project was BccN, the Barcelona Creative Commons Film Festival, which ran for ten editions. The organization now works to create spaces for cultural production, collaboration, and participation using new technologies. It also promotes artist residencies, creative productions, and cultural festivals with an inclusive, contemporary outlook.

Areas of work

  • Producing artistic projects, spaces, and activities connected to free culture and freedom of expression.
  • Building local and international partnerships among artists, collectives, organizations, projects, and public agencies with aligned goals.
  • Developing experimental work in image and sound, with a gender perspective and a focus on human rights.

The association publishes transparency documents, including reports for 2016 and 2017 in Catalan and a presentation in Spanish.
