Grup de consum ecològic El Guaret is an agroecological food-buying initiative based in Barcelona’s Sagrada Família neighborhood. The group welcomes new members and is built around organic farming, healthy food, and sustainability.

Activities and values

El Guaret goes beyond collective purchasing: it takes part in neighborhood life and the food sovereignty movement. It shares and supports activities such as farmers’ markets, family bike rides, responsible-consumption tours, and events about small-scale farming and food. The group supports direct sales from small farms and has spoken out against administrative barriers that, in its view, make it harder to hold producer markets in Barcelona.

How it works and when to meet

The group meets at Espai 210 on Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. Its contact page lists the address, email, social media links, and contacts for other neighborhood initiatives.
