Cooperativa de Consum Ecològic Faves Comptades de Sants is an organic consumer cooperative in Barcelona’s Sants neighborhood. It focuses on self-sufficiency workshops where members learn to make products they would typically buy ready-made.

Workshops and activities

The cooperative organizes workshops in several series, most of which begin in September. Its first workshop series, launched in June 2012, focused on traditional local drinks. It included a field trip to Capellades to gather herbs for making ratafia, followed by a workshop on preparing the drink.

Practical details

Activities were coordinated by email at coop.jaumecompte@gmail.com, and some took place at the Casal. The cooperative also asked participants to collect glass jars of at least one liter.
