About La Llar
Support for people with multiple sclerosis
La Llar is a Barcelona-based association that provides comprehensive support to people with multiple sclerosis (MS) and their families. Its person-centered approach aims to support independence, well-being, and active participation in daily life. It offers therapeutic, social, and emotional services, along with outside resources and inclusive recreational activities.
Services
- Social and legal guidance
- Psychological and emotional support
- Physical therapy
- Speech therapy
- Occupational therapy
- Painting workshop
- Cognitive stimulation
- Inclusive recreational outings
- Accessible swimming pool
Some services are provided through the Day Care Center with support from the Barcelona Consortium for People with Disabilities and do not require membership. Other services, such as the accessible pool and inclusive recreation, are managed by the association and require membership because the association covers their costs. Most services take place in groups, while taking each participant’s individual needs into account. There is no time limit on using the services; participants may continue for as long as needed, regardless of how the disease progresses.
Transparency and documents
The organization publishes documents on its website, including bylaws, a strategic plan, a volunteer plan, annual reports from 2022 to 2025, a gender-equality policy, a sexual-harassment protocol, quality-management materials, and a 2025 audit report.
Ways to help
People can support La Llar through membership, donations, volunteering, solidarity initiatives, or corporate giving. The website says donations can be made through Bizum using code 12992.
