Pere Claver Grup is a Barcelona-based social-economy organization working in mental health and disability. Its work is organized through four foundations: Fundació Sanitària, Fundació Pere Claver – Serveis Socials, Fundació Pere Claver – Drets i Suports, and Fundació Tallers. The group provides health and social services, employment inclusion, and support for the rights of people with mental health conditions.

Areas of work

  • Mental health: Clinical care and support for people with mental health conditions.
  • Social services: Social and community support.
  • Rights and support: Rights advocacy and support with legal capacity.
  • Employment inclusion: Job placement and supported employment programs.

Specialized health services

The organization has several specialized institutes: Institut Dental, Institut d’Al·lèrgia, Institut Proves Complementàries, and Institut de Docència i Recerca. These services are integrated into the care it provides.

Education, research, and innovation

Pere Claver Grup promotes education, research, and knowledge transfer in mental health. Its initiatives include the UB–Pere Claver Grup Chair in Mental Health and Community, a joint project with the University of Barcelona. It is also developing ConfIA, a pilot using artificial intelligence at the Sants and Montjuïc Adult Mental Health Centers (CSMA) to help take notes during appointments and improve listening and attention to each person.

Facilities and offices

The organization has several work locations in Barcelona. The Drets i Suports team moved on June 15 to carrer Encuny 7 in La Marina del Prat Vermell, in the Sants-Montjuïc district, leaving its former office at Passeig Montjuïc 18. The new space supports the growth of the Legal Capacity Support Service.

Social impact

The group describes itself as a social-economy organization that supports recovery and helps people with mental health conditions and disabilities develop their own life plans. It provides health, social, and employment inclusion services and advocates for the rights of these communities.
