Grup CHM Salut Mental

Mental health services across the lifespan

Grup CHM Salut Mental brings together three nonprofit organizations that provide mental health care for people at every stage of life: children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Its oldest member, Associació Centre d’Higiene Mental Les Corts, was established in 1975; Fundació CHM Salut Mental followed in 2002, and Associació Les Corts per a la Inserció Laboral in 2006. The group reports 50 years of experience and a staff of more than 200 professionals.

Services

• Adult care: an adult mental health center and community rehabilitation service
• Child and adolescent care: a child and adolescent mental health center and a day hospital for teens
• Employment and vocational support: pre-employment and job-training and placement services
• Housing: in-home support, supervised housing, and a residential home in Les Corts
• Support with legal capacity
• Family and education support, including emotional guidance and mental health first-aid programs
• Social and recreational programs: social clubs, ArtCom, a weekend program, and the Mans i Temps volunteer program
• Mental health promotion and education, professional training, and collaborative work with other organizations

Reach and programs

According to figures published by the group, it serves 8,127 people through 29 services, with 243 professionals and 31 interns. It also operates ALCIL, a special employment center focused on social and job inclusion for people with disabilities. A space called Espai Salut Mental is under construction.
