Employment and mental health support in Barcelona

Fundació DAU is a private organization based in Barcelona that has worked since 1992 to improve quality of life and independence for people with mental health conditions. Its work focuses on employment and on providing information and individualized support to people affected by mental health challenges, as well as to businesses seeking to support their employment inclusion.

Services

• Services for individuals: Information and personalized support for people experiencing or living with a mental health condition.
• Services for businesses: Developing and managing resources to support stable, quality employment inclusion.
• DAU Laboratory: The foundation’s own line of work expanded its facilities in October 2022 after seven months of renovations, responding to increased demand in the sector.

Partnerships and projects

The foundation works with “La Caixa” Social Work, the Government of Catalonia’s Department of Business and Employment, and the European Social Fund. Projects highlighted by the foundation include its participation in Project INNVESS 2023–25, focused on innovation in medicine packaging; its role as a sentinel organization in the Ocell de Foc program, coordinated by Pere Claver Group Social Services; and its contribution to the “Mentalizados con la salud mental” exhibition at Fundación Mapfre.
