About Fundació Privada Gandhi

Residential and occupational support

Fundació Privada Gandhi is a nonprofit providing support for people with intellectual disabilities. With more than 35 years of experience, it operates two main services: a residential home (Llar Residència) and an Occupational Therapy Service (STO). The organization considers its natural setting an important part of its care model.

Services

  • Residential home (Llar Residència): A home for residents that supports independence, decision-making, and personal goals.
  • Occupational Therapy Service (STO): Creative activities tailored to each person’s needs and preferences through an individualized support plan.

Activities

The occupational therapy service offers nature-based, physical, artistic, cognitive, and recreational activities. The foundation also has a therapeutic garden designed for people with intellectual disabilities who are aging, with activities aimed at supporting cognitive and physical abilities and emotional well-being.

Person-centered care

The foundation follows a person-centered approach based on each person’s preferences and relationship with nature. It believes that contact with the natural environment supports physical, emotional, and cognitive development.

Donations and volunteering

The foundation accepts donations and offers several ways to volunteer: group sports or cultural activities, support with occupational therapy activities, and one-on-one visits and conversation.
