Gremi de Restauració de Barcelona is the business association for Barcelona's bars, restaurants, and cafés. It represents the sector's interests before public agencies and provides specialized services to its members.

Advocacy and initiatives

Gremi acts as an industry liaison with public agencies and negotiates measures affecting restaurants. Actions it highlights include an extraordinary agreement to expand outdoor dining terraces during the COVID-19 pandemic, rules for terraces in roadway areas, an agreement to reduce rent during restrictions, a 75% reduction in terrace fees, and a petition supporting outdoor dining terraces that gathered 18,000 signatures.

Business partners

The association works with companies in a range of fields to offer favorable terms to restaurant operators. Partner categories include food, consulting and certification, equipment, construction and renovations, business management, and environmental and social inclusion services.

Publications and projects

Gremi publishes materials and organizes campaigns and events. These include the photo book Resilients, about the recovery of business after lockdown, and informational videos about the industry's situation.
