Education, research, and social action

Fundació Equitat.org, formerly known as Fundació Bofill, is a Barcelona-based organization working in education, research, and social action. It says it has spent 57 years advancing social justice and describes its work as producing rigorous research, projects, and partnerships so all children and young people in Catalonia can access a quality education.

Areas of work

• Education research: Publishes the Education Yearbook of Catalonia; its 2026 edition examines educational indicators and student pathways.
• Expanding opportunities: Programs include Som Coders, which supports children in the digital environment.
• Research and proposals: Reports and policy papers address reading comprehension, child poverty, school choice for ages 0–3, single-grade groups, and social media use.
• Public events and discussion: The foundation convenes open events and debates on education.
• Volunteering and civic participation.

Audience and reach

The foundation works with teachers, researchers, public agencies, social organizations, and families. More than 40,000 people subscribe to its content. Its materials are published under Creative Commons licenses and may be reused with attribution.
