About Fundació Ciència en Societat

Bringing science into education

Fundació Ciència en Societat is a Barcelona nonprofit founded in 2005 to promote and encourage science literacy. Its current focus is education as a driver of social and economic change.

Education and STEAMConf Barcelona

Its flagship initiative is STEAMConf Barcelona, an international conference launched in 2014. The foundation says the event has helped introduce changes in education and become part of everyday practice at many schools and institutes, as well as in public and private programs. The foundation aims to expand these results across the education system.
