About Fundació Canigó
A long-running support organization
Grup Canigó brings together several nonprofit organizations connected by their shared history, location, and work supporting people with intellectual disabilities. Its roots date to 1946, when Rosa Batlle began providing care for people with intellectual disabilities. Today the group comprises Fundació Canigó, Associació de Pares, and Club Esportiu.
Support and employment
Fundació Canigó focuses on support for people with intellectual disabilities. Its services include a special employment center (Centre Especial de Treball, or CET) and multidisciplinary teams. The organization lists administrative authorizations under Catalan government orders EMT/136/2022 and EMT/171/2023 and resolution EMT/3220/2023. It also receives support from the Government of Catalonia's Department of Business and Labor.
