Employment inclusion and business services

Femarec is a Barcelona-based nonprofit social-purpose organization established in 1991. Its work combines two areas: contracted services for businesses and public agencies, and training and employment programs for people facing social and economic barriers. The organization says it has more than 30 years of experience and operates as a Special Employment Center.

Services for businesses

Femarec offers a range of services that businesses can outsource, including:

• Waste management and recycling, handling more than 90 types of waste.
• Confidential document destruction and brand-protection destruction services.
• Document digitization.
• Office supplies and workwear.
• Equipment and device recovery and repair.
• Electrical assembly.
• Order picking and product handling.
• Holiday gift boxes, baby gift baskets, and bouquets.

Training

Femarec provides training for businesses and public agencies, including courses with FUNDAE training subsidies and subsidized continuing education through the Consorci. It also offers vocational training leading to professional certificates, including programs for people with disabilities. One detailed program is a 630-hour professional certificate in accounting, tax, auditing, and office software, with 550 classroom hours and 80 hours of company-based training.

Employment inclusion

The organization runs employment inclusion projects, including DONES valor, InserDONA, DONES+, FEM ILMO, Dona't, Orienta, the Employability Analysis Service (SAO), SIOAS, the Pre-Employment Service, and the Social and Labor Integration Service (SISL). It also maintains a job board and offers work placements.
