About Fundació Acció Social Infància (FASI)
Child and family support
Fundació Acció Social Infància (FASI) is a social-services organization supporting children at social risk and their families in Catalonia. Its approach centers on family intervention: it develops innovative projects focused on family recovery and positive parenting and offers ways to help, including foster care, mentoring, and volunteering.
Services and programs
- Casa d'infants: temporary residential support and social-educational intervention that centers family members as agents of change, family reunification, and positive parenting.
- SAD (Day Support Service): guidance and support for children and teens ages 3 to 16.
- Espais de Criança: early-childhood services that support work-family balance and community connections through group activities and gathering spaces.
- SIFALL–“Et fem costat”: direct support in the family home to strengthen relationships and well-being.
- Projecte IWI: a facilitated space where families and their support networks work together on challenges using the Family Group Conference (FGC) method.
Public and institutional work
FASI takes part in conferences and industry events, including the 3rd International Congress of Feminist Anthropology at Universitat Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona and an international conference on new child-protection models at Fundació “la Caixa”'s Palau Macaya. It has also organized events such as “Migration, Childhood, and Social Inclusion” at CaixaForum Girona. In 2024, it received a €4,909.96 grant from Girona Provincial Council to draft a proposal for the European Union's CERV program CHILD call. FASI publishes annual activity reports.
Transparency and governance
The foundation has participation and oversight groups, including Grup Motor, Comissió Ètica, Comissió Igualtat, and Comitè de bon tracte i protecció a la infància. It maintains an internal reporting channel and corporate-responsibility policies covering work-life balance, digital disconnection, the environment, equal opportunity, and the 2030 Agenda.
